Description:Third in a series of ten cassettes containing untranslated Hupa texts. Contents are described more fully by Mrs. Parker in a notebook on file with the Survey of California and Other Indian Languages. This tape, labeled "#3" by Mrs. Parker, is described in that notebook as including a number of traditional stories: "Across the Sea Old Man," the creation of animals, a story about Skunk, and a story about Animal people. Also includes commentary about medicine men and the Jump Dance.
